According to the description there wouldn’t be a metallic taste, but I have noticed a metallic taste. This usually occurs when my water (no ice) has been in the bottle for hours on end. However, the appearance of the bottle is nice & you can tell it’s well made.As far as the staying cold test here’s what I have to say:-If I didn’t use ice, my drink would only stay fridge cold for about 5 or 6 hours max.-I haven’t tried hot drinks.-The Hydroflask bottle seems to keep ice not melted for an extended period. I could easy say ice will not melt in a 24 hr. period.Overall, I think there are other brands out there that can perform just as well as Hydroflask for the same price or cheaper (Yeti?).

I’ve had many other water bottles but the hydroflask had been the best. Never leaks, keeps my drinks ice cold for hours on end. Haven’t tried hot drinks but come winter I plan on trying it out. Yes they’re a little more expensive than the other ones but you really get what you pay for.

These water bottles keep ice (depending on how much you put in there) for just over 12hrs but the water stays colder for even longer. They’re bulky but it’s better than a smaller bottle and constantly having to refill it. Also, make sure you get the rubber bottom sleeve for it so it doesn’t scratch the paint on it.

Great item. I love the Hydro Flask bottles. It is a little smaller than I was thinking, but it is very sturdy and I love it.

I purchased this bottle because it was on sale and it is a great bottle. BPA free. I put ice and filtered water in it, and the ice lasts for at least 24 hrs sometimes longer. It does need a strap to hold on to it and it not slip out of your hands.
