Evolve –
I’ve used the Deuce of Spades for many years, but it always hurt my hands. In preparation for a thru-hike I decided to swap out my trowel with the BoglerCo trowel to see if it performed better on a 10 day shake down hike. Wow! I was very surprised at how comfortable this was on my hand. It even seemed to cut through the rocky ground along the AT better than the Deuce of Spades. I’m very happy with my change and hope to use this on my future thru-hike.

Took it out on a backpacking trip. The group of 5 of us ended up only have 2 trowels between us for the 4 days, so it saw some good use. Very lightweight, very sturdy.

I usually don’t care for reviews written by people who haven’t used the item they’re reviewing but the seller wrote a hand-written request (maybe it’s a copy?) for me to leave a review so, despite having not used it yet, here’s what I know so far: It’s small, surprisingly light-weight and seems sturdy as well. I’ll update my review if I end up finding something wrong with it but I doubt it. I’m pretty picky and I don’t regret buying this at all.

I can’t believe I didn’t order this trowel sooner. Everything about it is just better than the Deuce. The curve allows it to more easily dig into the tough ground here in California, and the plastic piece on top makes it super comfortable to push into the ground. Easily the top of the Ultralight trowel food chain.

Great product! Surprisingly durable for its weight and feels good/comfortable in your hands. Also, I like that it’s exactly 7 inches to aid in digging hole the proper depth. I plan to purchase another one.

This is a great product that solves a couple of problems. The digging part is narrower that other models which allow for better digging in rocky soils. the bends provide better rigidly for getting through tough conditions. The plastic protector on the end covering the thin metal works very well providing a wider surface against the palm of your hand. This is a win.
