Here are some of my observations of the Soprut headlamp. The product itself has great options for lighting.-The 3 LED lights when when combined offer an incredible amount of illuminance. You can light up an area to about 30 feet away (approximately.)- 4 Lighting modes: Solo middle LED, Side LED’s only, all three LED (strongest) and a strobe mode- The headlamp sits comfortably on my head, didn’t slip or slide as I moved my head, so it serves its’ purpose.- Two batteries provided with headlamp are lithium-ionNow this is the more critical aspects to the product. Some are my personal opinions.-Boxing needs to be spell checked.-Design feels clunky but works-The real product doesn’t match the picture shown. Real product is made with cheap plastic and rubber.-Longevity of the headlamp is questionable.-USB plug-in port is covered by a piece of rubber that can easily be overlooked.Overall, this product could use a bit more refining. However, for me, it allows me to work my garden in the dark or check on dark areas of my property while freeing up my hands. Is it perfect? No, but it serves its purpose.

The headlamp is very bright and has four settings; center light, side lights, all three lights, and a tactical strobe. The center light is focusable to a square shaped concentrated beam and will broaden as a flood lamp when spinning the focus ring. The setting I can live without is the tactical strobe. Not useful to me, but I’m sure it may be useful for a hiker hiking in the dark that encounters a threat. The headlamp comes with two rechargeable batteries for operation (there’s an inconsistency in the description that mentions it only requires one). The batteries can be recharged while in the headlamp via a USB to barrel connector cable. The batteries can also be removed and charged separately in a charger. I *think* the batteries are 18650 type, which I like. I have a headlamp that takes CR123 batteries and they don’t last long. The rechargeable CR123 batteries also don’t last long – as in, they stop taking a charge after a couple of years. The headlamp adjusts downward if you’re working on a project and need extra light. The headlamp is adjustable and comfortable to wear and surprisingly well built. The racing stripe stickers fell off, but I was going to peel them off anyway. Very nice headlamp!

I have owned a variety of headlamps and find this one to be exceptional. When you adjust the middle light to the wide beam (very easy to do while wearing) it lights up a very large area. Great if you are searching for something in the dark or just to be able to clearly see all around you in the dark. When I first opened the box and saw the battery case, which you can see in my photo, I was a little unsure if it would be comfortable on my head for extended wear. No worries! It is light weight and I couldn’t feel it. This light is great to use for home jobs that require a flashlight. I wish I had it when I was working on plumbing under the sink as it was difficult to hold a flashlight and work. I will use this with the wider beam of light for simple things like taking the trash to the curb as I do it the night before. This would be a great gift for older folks as it will light the way when walking, but also can be worn when doing crafts or puzzles when you need more focused light.

The is a very powerfull light at a very reasonable price. The lamp has 4 settings, including the main light which can focus from narrow to a wider range, 2 binocular shaped side lights, and a strobe function. All three light can be used at the same time to create a an even wider range. The main lamp can swivel up and down for better aim.The first picture uses the center light at a narrower focus at about 150 feet. The second picture uses the wide field of all three lights. The strapping system ensures that the headlamp remains firmly in place. This is a great light for night time hiking or camping.I look forward to using it frequently.

I own a lot of budget headlamps and it seems like Iβm on a quest to find the prefect one. I donβt think that will ever happen as there are always compromises when it comes to cheaper lights. Thatβs the case here – so Iβll start with my cons:- It uses a propriety cable – would have been nice for usb c or even micro USB.- Itβs pretty heavy with the battery pack at the back.- The focus ring rattles when you run. I resolved this by turning it to the widest focus, which was fine, but woth noting. I bed a rubber band around the ring would also fix this.- The battery compartment is covered by a rubber cover. I was worried that it wouldnβt be watertight. And the pros:- Bright.- Adjustable.- Uses 18650 batteries.- Angle adjustment is solid – a big deal for me as Iβve already broken the swivel on another headlamp without much force.I just took it out for a night run in the freezing rain at 34F, and it worked great. Didnβt feel heavy, stayed put, and there was zero water penetration of the battery compartment. Easy to switch mixed with gloves on. Also the red light on the back was nice as it kept me more visible. To sum up, I was apprehensive about this, but after taking it out for a run, it easily met my expectations. My night runs are not that long, especially in freezing rain, but then if you are looking for something that can handle more than that, Iβm sure you would be going for a name brand lamp that costs a lot more. For the price, Iβm sold.

A few things I want to point out about this LED headlamp. I hope others find them useful. The battery is huge. This is not a toy. 18650 lithium is very powerful. The user manual has tiny print. I was able to read it, but it would be better if the front size was bigger. The material used seem solid. I had trouble finding the charging port. I was able to spot the letters: “DC” and that is where the charging cable should plug into.I charged the lamp for 8 hours before first use. The lamp lighted up my backyard.2 year warranty is great!
