Used for field work around the world, our hard-cover notebooks are made to endure the onslaught of the elements as well as the slow, insidious passage of time. Pocketable in a pinch, these compact books pack small and perform without excuse. Our weather-resistant, archival-grade paper holds up through exposure to moisture and a lifetime in storage. No matter what you put your notes through and no matter when you go back to read them, what is written on Rite in the Rain will remain legible.
- WEATHERPROOF PAPER: 160 pages / 80 sheets per notebook. This paper that wonβt turn to mush when wet and will repel water, sweat, grease, mud, and even survive the accidental laundry mishap and more.
- COVER / BINDING: Everything from the Fabrikoid cover, the paper, the sewn-in pages, even the glue is designed to survive Mother Nature’s wrath.
- WHAT TO WRITE WITH: Use a Pencil or All-Weather Pen and your notes will stay intact. Standard Ballpoint pens will work when paper is dry. Water-based inks will bead off Rite in the Rain sheets.
- RECYCLABILITY: In spite of Rite in the Rain’s durability, it is completely recyclable. Simply recycle Rite in the Rain as you do other white or printed papers

I work in the oil and gas industry, this is my go to tally book, fits good in back pocket, but has wide pages to log our work. It’s tough and works well in rain and snow

I love these notebooks for taking field notes in any weather. They are sized to fit in a hip pocket, and the hard cover makes it easy to write while holding the notebook in one’s hand.My one regret is that Rite in the Rain no longer seems to offer a version with unperforated pages. Sure, some people will like the perforations because it makes it easier to remove a page. But I can’t be the only one who, when paying up for a durable binding to make sure the pages stay in, would rather not have anything done to help them come out.

Love this little book. I had thought about giving it to my son who travels frequently around the globe and hikes wherever he goes. But, it’s pretty small and he’s more interested in documenting his trips with pictures. I’ve always looked for just the right notebook for my bag – something i can carry if I’m using a backpack, briefcase, small handbag or bigger one. This is perfect for a number of reasons. I tend to hold all kinds of stuff in my bag – juices and water for kids, snacks, pens, etc. Most small notebooks get ruined because the pages and covers bend and get ruined by drops of liquid. This is great – all weather cover and paper that can be written on when wet is perfect for me. While i realize this is not the intended use or audience for the book, it’s really helpful to me as I’m often on a conference call while on the go and need to take notes and keep them legible.

I don’t know that I would buy one of these again for myself. It is a very pricey notebook, but the quality is amazing. If you really want to invest in a nice place for your notes, then this is for you. However, I’m way too worried about “messing it up” haha.Overall, the binding is very sturdy, the cover is really nice and has a sort of canvas texture, and it doesn’t seem like it would bend or dent easily.

I do not like the new version as it is a little larger and page style not as good for my purpose. Does not fit in the Sea-Doos glove box as well. I use them for my patrols. I am with the USCG Aux.

I don’t know why this size is not bought like crazy. It is the perfect size and nobody makes this size but rite in the rain.I wish it was less expensive the next size up is less expensive because more people buy it. I wish I could buy this size in bulk for about $5 each. I would buy 10 of them right now.
