My expectations were not met! I bought a similar instrument made in Taiwan for half the price. Less presentable, but no less comfortable.

I’m definitely not a Park Tool fanboy. There isn’t a wall in my shop covered in Park blue. Why? …well, if I have to explain why you should not buy crescent wrenches, fixed wrenches, and other basic tools from Park at premium prices, then you should seek reviews by others who will confirm your unreasonable devotion to Park Tool. This being said, yes, there are several bicycle-specific tools from Park that are simply the only skillfully-designed tool for the job. Such is the case with these master link pliers. I’ve tried two others brands–others which were 1/3 the price–that were just flat out not carefully designed for this simple task. (There’s nothing worse than a specialized tool that doesn’t perform its specialized function well.) In this case, just swallow hard and pay the Park premium.

There are ways to open a master link without a special tool but why would you want to when this tool can save time and frustration.

There’s work-arounds if you don’t have this tool. But why bother? This tool is the wham-bam-thank-you solution to engaging and disengaging bicycle chain master links in about 2 seconds.

A real time saver. At this price point, don’t skimp on the quality.

It works great

Quality tool for a fair price. Easy to see why Park Tools are used by most professional bike mechanics.

It works, what more is there to say?!
