The only thing I don’t like about Hypafix (not the imitators) is that if you are clumsy, it is easy to get stuck on itself, and the adhesive is so strong that unsticking it without making a mess is almost impossible. This tape is the real stuff, super thin, highly adhesive, flexible, and it will hold for at least 3 days and a shower. If you have large areas to cover on areas that will be getting a lot of stress, I recommend getting tape that will have plenty of skin and bandage contact. This tape flexes and moves well, and doesn’t pull free like every other brand that I have seen, even if sweaty (such as a wound on your backside and riding in a car for 2 hours). It is a little pricey, but it surpasses every other brand in every aspect. I found a knockoff brand in a medical supply store, and it was stiffer, didn’t hold as well, and cost more than double as compared to Amazon.

This adhesive wrap was a savior for my extremely skinned knee after a bad crash on my bike. I started off with non-stick pads and regular medical tape – all from walgreens. It was a misery, took too long to secure to my knee and within a few hours the tape/pad was a loose mess. Then I searched a bike forum and they suggested this over 3M Tegaderm for highly flexible areas like the knee. I ordered it, received quickly and started using it promptly. It made a huge difference as this covers the entire pad and there’s still plenty of adhesive area left to secure it to the knee. Its flexible so you can bend the knee, easy to work with and I could change the dressing quickly. I had plenty to heal my knee changing it 2x day, for 2 weeks. It did not irritate my skin either. My husband was impressed saying that I did a great job caring for the wound and it looks pretty good. He would surly have had a huge scar. But really – its this product (plus aquafore) that made it easy to care for the wound.

My husband has a medicine tube that comes out of his stomach and attaches to a heavy pump. It has been hard finding any type of “bandage” to hold the tube in place. It took for years and an emergency room visit to have a nurse tell us about this. It covers his tube and the 4 x 4 dressing that. It sticks even throughout the shower. (have not tried in pool or ocean yet). This is the next best thing to Sliced Bread

This is a product that could save your life! As a caregiver, I have a patient who bleeds if only bumping his arm on the bed. With gauze and this product, it will stop the bleeding with pressure and cover the area to prevent infection. Great to have on hand just to cover a sore, scrape or body cuts. It’s ease to use and is transparent! There are probably 100’s of uses for this product. Buy a box and see how many uses you can find for this product!

Had surgery on my knee and had to wear a dressing for about three weeks. After 20 years of nursing I know what tape can do to youβre skin. This tape is the best and I had no problems with it. I bought a pile of it and got some for my 93 year old father as well. Much easier on his skin!

With my disease I had tried many different dressings and this by far works the best BUT!!! THE PRICE INCREASE IS EXCESSIVE! I’ve bought this over 10 times but price was $29.99 or less and now it’s over $50? Watch out, I had it on subscribe and save and wouldn’t have noticed the drastic price increase if I hadn’t been looking. Buy the 4″ width at $9.99 and just overlap. It is wonderful for covering wounds with no additional discomfort but beware the >$50.

Hypafix is great. It holds bandages in place and it provides a moisture barrier.I have a severe leg wound that has lots of drainage, and the hypafix prevents it from soaking threw to my clothes.
