When air tanks are being stored or transported simply screw on the HK Army Thread Guard to ensure the compressed air regulator and C02 tank threads stay protected from damage. Also equipped with the Thread Guard are two spare o-rings securely mounted on top for those unforeseen moments the tank o-ring breaks at the paintball field.

Does what it says on the tin. Screw it on and you don’t have to worry about dinged up threads or dust and debris getting into the pin valve. Stays screwed on pretty well too. I’ve never tried using the spare o-rings on top, as being exposed like that they’re likely to dry out and get nicked up anyway.Protip: Get a color that contrasts with the inside of your gear bag. My bag is black, so I use the silver thread protector. Makes it much easier to find the thing at the end of the day. It also helps to have a pocket that you consistently put the thread protector in when you remove it from the tank.
