The RotorΒ Quick Feed system from Dye eliminates the need for a traditional flip-top lid. Assembly is quick and simple, as the Quick Feed installs between the top shell and the carrier. It’s made from a combination of soft, flexible material that allows paintballs to freely feed into the loader, and a more rigid material that prevents them from falling out.

This is an outstanding speed feed. I highly recommend it as an upgrade to your rotor. It only took about 5 minutes to install. Like any good speed feed it greatly reduces loading time. The quality is high, as seems to be the case with most Dye products. Be warned, however, the tabs of the speed feed only bend in and not out. This is great for loading and keeping the paintballs from coming out while playing, but terrible if you stick your finger in it. I once put my finger in during a game and and it got stuck like a Chinese handcuff. I had to chew my arm off to get away. Apparently this was pretty shocking to three of my teammates who passed out when they saw my bloody stump…..we lost the game.

I got the quick feed to try after seeing a lot of guys with rotors on the field who swore by it. I think for those that play a lot of speedball, it is probably really helpful, but I found it more of an annoyance for me. I tend to play a lot more woodsball and scenario games, and there aren’t a lot of situations where I need to reload that quickly. Generally it is adequate for me to take a minute to find cover while I reload. The downside to having the quick feed is that when I play in rainy conditions, my paintballs get wet. I usually have to switch out for the closing lid if I am worried at all about rain. Not a huge hassle, but given that I don’t think it really improves my game much anyway, it isn’t really worth it to put it on at all anymore. I still wouldn’t fault the product due to my own playing style, but I also find it was difficult to feed at times, and eventually the parts got worn and it didn’t stay closed. There are other speed feeds with newer designs that seem more durable to me. Adequate product, but not really worth it to me.

I love this, i usually play speedball and it is a life saver, allthough the field i play in doesn’t have grass, it has dirt, so if you find yourself crawling a lot you might get some dirt in your hopper, this has not happened to me though, and even though i don`t play sanke i find myself crawling a decent ammount.Thi is the only warning i would have about this, overall i love this and it gives me no problems, it is easy to install and makes reloading so much more easy.

So this works great and the colors are exactly like in the picture. Once you get the flip top lid off you just set it in place and put the cover back on top of it.The one con I have is to get the flip top lid off of the hopper, you have to remove a metal pin that is jammed into a depression. I ended up marking up the plastic on the top a bunch before I finally managed to get the darn thing off of there. I thought I was going to snap the lid off altogether. Its not easy to put back on there either, so be sure of your decision before installing this.

Would buy it again for my other hoppers

Best speed feed for dye roters. Others are not as good. Also I’m not even a dye fanboy but they did the paintball loader correct.
