   Now when my brother told me about these socks I did a bit of scoffing. I’ll confess that. 25 bucks for a pair of socks? That’s just ridiculous…but I’m an idiot and bought a pair anyways. Then I bought another pair and then I bought another pair. So there’s two ways to look at this…I’m intelligent and know a good deal (even if it’s a sock!!) or I’m an idiot three times over.Let’s start with the most glaringly obvious benefit of these socks. They have a lifetime guarantee. I’ve not reaped the benefit of this guarantee but I’m looking forward to the day I do. On to more benefits…1. They are comfortable.2. They come in different sizes3. They come in different thicknesses4. They keep you warm and dry5. They keep you cool and dry6. Who’d a thought they could keep you cool and warm but never wet!!!!7. They look good.I guess that’s all I got, well that and these awesome socks. I’d like to give a shoutout to my mom who complemented these socks. I’m like “they’re darn tough” and she’s like “i use to darn socks for your grandpa”. Now ain’t that just about the most clever sock ad campaining? On that alone 6 stars…Thanks darn tough.

   First of all they are expensive no way around it. That caveat aside, these have become my go to socks. I def would recommend them despite the hefty price tag. They are guaranteed for life for a reason! Well made in US of A. The major thing for me is the comfort they provide. It is superior to every other sock by far. And you don’t have to wash after each wear!!! TBH I haven’t washed mine for weeks and they do not smell at all! Idk how this is possible but it is truth. They have excellent customer service as well-I have ordered from them direct as well and they are very helpful. The reason I ordered through Amazon was just for free shipping. The one thing I will say is to be sure to note the difference between the cushion and not cushioned. For me using them at the gym primarily with athletic shoes and for everyday walking I love the cushion and highly highly recommend the cushioned UNLESS you plan to run in them. Then perhaps go with not cushioned. It will tell you on the description. I didn’t know the difference and ended up returning a pair of not cushioned cuz they just aren’t the same comfort level. The one other thing I have not tried is seeing if they truly honor the buy it for life claim so I don’t know the ease of this process and whatnot. I hope so because that would make me a customer for life! PS they look cool too!

   After many pairs of the Darn Tough Hiker Micro Crew Midweight Hiking SockI decided to try this design and I am not disappointed. The quality and fit are exactly what I would expect from a pair of Darn Tough Socks! I would highly recommend this style.

   I finally returned my first 3 pairs after about 3-4 years and picked new ones. They lasted a pretty long while. They returned them with no hassel. I was amazed. The turnaround was about 12 days. (I paid shipping but got new durable socks). Screw Hanes btw. I highly recommend them and love that they are made in Vermont. I use their dress socks, no shows and boot socks for sports, office, hiking and skiing.I bought some for my kids for snow tubing. There was not one mention of cold feet from them unlike regular sweaty polyester socks.I was skeptical at first with the “lifetime guarantee” but needed something better for sweaty feet and also cold conditions so I bought a couple pairs at first. The no show athletic socks are a good buy also. Ive had two pair for two years and theyve worn great.The price is worth it to me. (I just returned some and got new ones). If youre in the military these should be the only ones you buy. My one pair of cushioned soled black boot socks are a noticeable difference from what I was originally issued. I wish i had had them during cold weather training-screw Thor-Los btw. I didnt get paid for this review but will always give props to a good American made product even if they cost a little more.Tiny gripe- I would like more selection of dress socks with cushioned soles. Burgandy and grey stripes would be great.

   Theses are the only socks I will buy and wear. I have put multiple miles running and hiking with these socks and still have not been able to break them.

   I started wearing Darn Tough socks about 2 years ago and I’m a convert. These are the best socks I’ve ever owned and now the only ones I feel I need to own. They are so comfortable and durable, I used to tear holes in socks within weeks and now it takes a year. There’s no issue in sending them out and getting a new pair for free. These are hands down the best socks I’ve ever experienced.
