2700 lbs? I sincerely doubt it. That said, these are great for general camp use. A hammock? Sure, why not. Bear bag? Yep. Mitten keepers on your pack? Ideal.They’re small, and seem well made. I would be reluctant to use them in any application that demanded more than half their rating in strength.
