Wanted some extra ultralight long sleeve shirts for an Africa trip this winter. Wanted khaki color and thought I’d try this for $37 bucks. You can buy cheaper, but I was looking for the sweet spot between $100 Patagonia (and others) and one your not quite so bummed when you stain it. (you know it will happen).This fit the plan. I am pleased with the fit & finish of the shirt. Hangs at a good length for no tuck in (not too long or short) I’m 5’11” – 175 lbs & arms a tad long. With some shirts I am between a medium & large. With this shirt medium fits me perfectly. You won’t be wearing much under one of these so buy your regular shirt size. Available in many colors, but if you’re going to Africa, stick with khaki.

Even REI has stopped making long sleave, button up, light weight hiking shirts. This the 4th shirt I’ve ordered because it is so great. I hike it in the summer because it covers my arms with zero heat. Very ventilated. Well done!! I’d say I’d buy it again… but that would be redundant.

The shirt seems to work as advertised.The shirt runs small. Order 2 sizes up. I ordered an extra large – too small, I ordered a 2x – too small. 3x not available.I kept the 2x as I only wanted it for yard work, so who cares if it’s a bit tight.It should also be noted that, contrary to what the product description reads, you sweat in this shirt. The shirt drys quickly but if you are wearing a t-shirt under it, it can be uncomfortable when the t-shirt is soaked from sweat.It does look nice and, if wearing it out for the day, it would likely work well for you.

I bought the gray and tan shirts, and used them both for African photo safari tour. Pockets hold cellphones and velco keeps contents secure.
